The Original Pancake House of Boulder video blog is a short monthly take on what’s new or what is best to try at the restaurant. Hosted by Owner and longtime employee Larry Fitzpatrick who brings us a taste of what’s to come.

Pancakes are the very old beginnings of bread and pastry. Generally a pancake is any kind of batter fried or baked in a skillet,griddle, or on a hot surface. People of all nationalities have made pancakes from time immemorial. Today pancakes are enjoyed for breakfast, luncheon, dinner and even for dessert.

THE ORIGINAL PANCAKE HOUSE

Founded in 1953 by Les Highet and Erma Hueneke in Portland, Oregon. Drawing upon their many years experience in the culinary field and comprehensive working knowledge of authentic national and ethnic pancake recipes, they were able to offer a unique and original menu which has gained national acclaim and remains unchanged to this day. These recipes made from scratch daily, demand only the very finest of ingredients such as pure whipping cream, fresh Grade AA eggs, hardwheat unbleached flour, and our sourdough yeast.It is our constant objective to serve you the finest pancakes available anywhere. We strive to create an environment that offers a clean, friendly atmosphere with quality food and consistently good service. We choose to cook everything to order and offer unique menu items that take longer than the industry standard: products such as our oven baked Apple Pancake,Dutch Baby and souffle style omelettes. The special care we take produces results well worth the effort. Nothing can replace the fresh product for food value or taste. Thank you for coming to The Original Pancake House in Boulder. 1) Portions can be large – consider sharing (family style) and ask your server for extra plates.
2) Kids – we love ‘em – bring ‘em on! Try half portion sizes or share larger portions – we will always take care of your kids. Check out the children’s library and puzzles in the waiting room.

We put up a new review section on our Original Pancakes site. Not may restaurants have this. We get so many personal letters from our fans and customers, we thought “what the hey” (Richie Brockelman Rockford files). Lets start our own review section and see what happens.
